This is one of the largest telescopes in the world over a hundred years old, and vital in astronomical research before the digital age. Manually operated one can still view the vast outer space and planets more than a billion miles away .

We took teen girls to check out some cool views, great experience. We got to see Jupiter's Stars, Saturn and the moon. They provided a lot of history and answered questions. Historical and hands on.

We went on a tour this spring. Every Wednesday night in the summer after 10 pm, the public can go look through the telescope. Star gazing at its best!

It's all ages so the grad student leaders of the events do a great job teaching and answering any questions. It's a really cool, old telescope! It often gets crowded but the leaders are very patient and make sure everybody gets a chance to look...More
