We had to kill some time before the zoo opened. The playground is great and perfect for all ages. They have bridges that you can watch the wildlife and the water.

I stopped in on a sunny winter day. There were a lot of skaters in the ice rinks. They have a large skating rink, several hockey rinks and one for speed skating. There are also walking/running trails. And a beach that is open in summer.

This park was a nice stop with walking trails, a small play area for kids, and a small wading/swimming area. Very relaxing time adjacent to the Henry Villas zoo.

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. In addition to the animal attractions, there is a Carousel, an area for kids to play, an educational raptor building, and tons of green space for frisbee, a picnic or just to hang out and read.

We took some good friends here to ice skate. The ice ws pretty soft due to the warm weather, but we still managed to have a lot of fun. We passed the puck around and took lots of pictures. Warming house is nice.
