One does not put Madison and Opera into the same sentence - most think of Madison and sports, but the opera does great shows with top performers and excellent production values.

Free event! Outdoor natural bowl in a beautiful park, fantastic international Opera performers, accompanied by the Madison Symphony under Maestro John DeMain. Bring your beach chairs, blankets, picnics...all free. A fantastic event under the stars!

While I thought the ticket price was a little steep, I definitely enjoyed myself. The show was outstanding and while in Italian, it had the subtitles, in order to understand. Will definitely be catching another show soon!

MO's production of "The Masked Ball" in November was great. Besides great singing, the singers were very good actors. The set, borrowed from some other company, ran from very good to horrible perspective.
