There is a remote and great trail out to the left past the parking lot. I was there once for fireworks on the 4th and some guy got his head blown off. Screams. Shock. Horror. The boy scouts got their act together for crowd control. I have to select a date. Haven't been there since the 80s so ignore my... More

Ice-skating and sledding? Basketball and tennis? Softball and running? Yes to all. If you have small kids there is less to do in summer unless you want to "climb the mountain" which is the large sledding hill. If you like sports bring your tennis and basketball stuff in the summer or your skates and sleds in the winter. In winter... More

Played two rounds here during Worlds in 2016. It was a well-kept course. Watch out for that poisonous yellow parnsip stuff if you go off the fairway. Looks like a popular park for non-disc golfers too. Saw several people running up the hill for "fun". Guess there's not much to do in WI! :)

We had so much fun sledding down this free attraction and warmed up in the warming house too. The facilities were great. Ice skating, hockey and cross country skiing looked fun too!

No better place in madison to go sledding. Watch out for oncoming sleds though, I've seen some amazing wipeots...literally head over heels!

This city park satisfies virtually every purpose for going to a park. It is not one of those nice flat parks. It has easy walking, running, biking and skiing terrain, but it also has significant hills and wooded areas. This is an A+ park.

We came to Madison to do some skiing and skating. The skiing at Elver Park is definitely geared toward the skating style of skiing. Unfortunately, we were doing traditional cross country skiing. The trails were in very poor condition. A total waste of $14.00. Very dissappointing.

I grew up on the Southwest side of Madison so I watched Elver Park take shape starting in the late 1970s and have spent a lot of time there over the years. When I return to Madison for a family visit, I almost always include a trip to the park for one reason or another . . . sledding, hiking,... More

It's a nice park. My kids favorite park to sled in the winter, it gets really crowded during that season. It's beautiful to just walk thru on a summer day. It has a huge disc golf area that my son loves. As far as playground equipment goes not much to rave there and there are questionable kids at best always... More

I rented skis here for $9 and spent a few hours on the trails. I had a great time. The other skiers were of all ages and skill levels. I am a beginner and stayed on the easier trails. There is also a sledding hill and a skating rink. I will go again. If not for the skiing, then for... More
