It is almost impossible don t see this monument. It is cited in downtown and a square surrounds it. Good to walk and used as reference when you are lost.

I have been several times in Madison, WI, but never made it to the Capitol Square. The Capitol building is really something to see ... a MUST. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to visit the inside of the Capitol. Will sure do next time when in Madison!!

The day that my wife and I went to Capitol Square, we went through the farmer's market that was encircled around the capitol. The market was great, and walking through the streets was wonderful, seeing the activity all around us.

We walking on a freezing saturday afternoon the streets near the Capitol area of this college town until the night and really the nightly view was awesome and you should find many local restaurants and shops in all streets near the building , take pictures if you visit this area in near future .

Spend an afternoon strolling the capitol square, which is pretty in all 4 seasons. On Saturday there is one of the best Farmers' Markets in the state on the square. Other attractions are held on summer evenings. Of course, while there, you must visit the magnificent capitol and take a walk outside around the dome.

Nice area. Capitol grand. Love water view driving around Madison. It's a clean town. Of the several restaurants we've tried, very good, not mediocre food and service.

Saturday morning farmer's market was jam packed with vendors AND shoppers. There were loads of fresh choices, especially if you are looking for honey or produce. Nice spot to take a walk and window-shop, if nothing else.

Well how can I describe this for the first time going to the Square the four of s went to the market had a good time and stopped for a beverage across the street which was just as crowded as the market. I myself was not impressed as far as prices , real high on most if not all items... More

Farmers Market is very attractive. The merchants do an outstanding job of displaying the produce. There is a wide assortment of merchandise from wool, flowers to many different types of vegetables.

I've been there in early September, during a festival, and the square was crowded with a lot of food vendors. It was funny and impressive. It was really weird to see vegetables growing in the park, available for anybody would like to pick them up! I want to get back there if possible (not necessarily to pick the vegetables:))).
