We went to view an exhibit that showcased artwork from school children. Our granddaughter, a Kindergartner, had a piece of art there. There were various mediums of art by all school age levels. The art was beautifully displayed and care was taken so show things to their best advantage. The children who were exhibitors were excited to be there with... More

We spent time browsing several, but not all of the exhibits on the sunny morning we stopped here. The museum is easy to find on State Street. Our car was parked at our hotel and walking here was easy. We loved the light pouring inside and the variety of the installations. I also want to mention the gift shop. They... More

This museum had an exhibit of Wisconsin artists. It was several levels but you can do it in an hour or so. There is a rooftop restaurant and sculpture garden. However the garden was closed due to weather. It is free so it's worth a quick visit.

Great utilization of a small space. Educational displays, truly an important experience. Great documentation and authenticity to displays. We are fortunate to have such a great museum.

For a free museum I was delighted at the quality of the exhibits here. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was lucky enough to catch the tail-end of the Frances Myers collection, it was wonderful! I appreciated that there were areas to sit down as I like to sketch things I see or things that have inspired me. I'll... More

Located as part of the Overture Center, the exhibits which change are very interesting. Certainly not up to San Francisco, chicago or New York, it is worth a visit if in Madison. Also has a very nice gift shop

My husband and I had our wedding here. Bob and his staff did an incredible job helping us get organized and always available to answer questions as well as making recommendations based on prior weddings held there. Also when in providing us a space to get ready on the day of. The staff was supper friendly and so accommodating, that... More

We only had a short time to spend in Madison and enjoyed spending an hour strolling through this museum. They had some good little activities to engage children in at least 2 of the rooms and a warning of inappropriate content for children for one exhibit. Impressive displays.
