Very nice place to go see, especially if you want to see something outside of Bourbon St & the French Qtr. I recommend taking the trolley so you get the whole experience of seeing the city.

NOMA has wide ranging collections that are well displayed. The museum is at the end of the Canal St. tram in City Park. There is also a nice sculpture garden attached to the museum.

The gold cabin exhibit was incredibly moving. We also enjoyed the mainstays and temporary exhibits. We also enjoyed the downstairs cafe. Good coffee.

The museum is small and has 2 exhibit floors. The items on display are of very good quality. You can see everything in 1 to 2 hours. The sculpture gardens is unique and is a must see place.

How can I start, it is breath taking and eclectic art collections. You walk through the XVIII century historical, French, Spanish influences via the Indians to meet with modern art. It is limitless joy with an amazing roof-top. Simply beautiful.

Special care should be taken to visit the self taught art and Japanese art exhibition areas- both a speciality of this gem venue.

Come here to stay cool on a steamy day. Enjoy a fabulous collection. And make sure to go to the sculpture gardens just behind the museum building.
