Went here 2 nights to hear some great jazz. While you do have to pay a cover charge, the quality of the music and the sound in the house is well worth it. We tried other places in town, but none had the caliber of...More

Went to see Jimmy Robinson and friends and he did not disappoint! This venue is intimate and quite good for listening to first class music. We had a great time here. Hope to see Jimmy in Norway/Oslo sometime soon!

A bit disappointed in the menu here - limited selections and quite pricey. Located off the beaten path, maybe not worth the walk....

Make sure you book! The legendary Ellis Marsalis plays two sets on Friday nights but they are nigh on impossible to get into. The wonder of this joint is the passing of the flame to the younger musicians and so keeping jazz alive. A must...More

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

I agree with Stephen. They're in separate locations of the building. I would go earlier and try to get seated in the performance area.

I believe it's between an hour and an hour-and-a-half. We heard Charmaine Neville (of the famous musical family) and she was terrific. She invites other artists up to perform, if they're in the audience, and that's the... More

I believe there are two performances every night at 8:00 and 10:00pm. You an check the website to confirm and see scheduled entertainers. If 8:00pm isn't too late, I think your 12-year old grandson would enjoy.
