This tour company offers very comfortable, professional and informative tours of the plantations along the river road. You decide which ones and how many you want to visit. Oak Alley is probably the best known. San Francisco is the most unique. Whitney gives you plantation history from the perspective of the slaves. The guides are outstanding, and one of these... More

We visited Whitney and Oak Alley Plantations and really enjoyed the contrast. Whitney is all about slavery and how they lived and were treated. Sad but it was reality. The guide, and African American, was really terrific. Then saw Oak Alley, a beautiful Plantation like we have imagained in movies. Had a mint julep and thoroughly enjoyed our host's narrative.... Our tour of Evergreen Plantation and Oak Valley was not only very interesting but provided some great historical information. Our tour driver, Jacques, was excellent. He was very good at pointing things out on the trip to the plantations and also history not the area. Jacques knowledge and explanations were mirrored and further explained by the tour guides at the... More

This tour was the highlight of our trip to New Orleans. I still can not stop thinking about all I learned on this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable. He taught us in this two-hour tour as if he was a history professor. He left us wanting to learn more. I was especially moved that this is the only memorial... More

I was really looking forward to this tour and I wasn't disappointed. We booked the Oak Alley and Evergreen Plantations with Swamp Tour. Our driver was Richard and could he talk - he was full of information and about New Orleans. Oak Alley was just beautiful and our guide was very informative, but we didn't have enough to time to... We have visited 4 of the plantations on River Road. Oak Alley, Laura, San Francisco & the Houmas House. Although they are all grand with beautiful gardens each is unique and worth visiting. We took the tour shuttle twice and drove ourselves once. I much prefer the tour van as it is a pretty good distance from New Orleans and... More

My husband and I took the tour of oak ally plantation on a trip from New Orleans to Baton Rouge. To say it was awesome does not do it justice. Our tour guide, Billy, was so funny and acknowleable that it made the whole experience more enjoyable. I recommend it highly. It takes maybe 2-3 hours.

Tour guide was such a great story teller. I really enjoyed listening. Family saga story was like a daytime tv drama story.
