Gray Line New Orleans has been showcasing the city since 1924. Locally owned and operated, the Gray Line schedule includes the award winning Original Cocktail Tour. Another top offering is the Ghost Tour, which has been so intensely researched that the hotel with the most reported Ghost sightings in the city has invited Gray Line to produce an exhibit in their hotel. Among our professionally escorted tours are the Super City Tour, Katrina Tours, Swamp & Bayou, Airboat Swamp Tours, Oak Alley & Laura Plantation Tours, Cemetery & Voodoo, French Quarter & Garden District Walking Tours We limit the number of guests on our walking tours to enhance the experience and the view is always better from our luxurious mini-busses and motor coaches. Our Tour Guides are well trained, licensed, and want to share their personal experiences along the way. Morning to evening you can count on Gray Line New Orleans

This trip was my husband and myself, and our 18 year old daughter. We had heard about this tour and were intrigued. We had a discussion about whether this was "capitalizing" on what the people of New Orleans went through or not. We decided that we needed to go on it to have a better idea. The tour was led... Tour with Sandy S as a guide was great, she was very knowledgeable about New Orleans without going overboard. Good overview of the city, would recommend for any first time visitor.

Was excited to take a dinner jazz cruise on the Mississippi River on the Steamboat Natchez. First time on a boat was nice. Enjoyed dinner and was looking forward to the cruise. However, I was trying to listen to the guide give the history information and couldn't hear everything because of the low speaker volume. Was disappointed I couldn't get... More

Julie was an amazing tour guide and very knowledge on the history of the city and the cemetery No. 1. And shout out to George to the bus driver! Grey line tours are totally worth it.

I believe it was luck, or unlucky, getting a guide that didn't know or provide enough history either in Garden district or in Layfette Cemetary. My daughter and her friend were disappointed in their female guide on April 12th (unsure of her name) and wanted to go back and demand refund but they ran out of time that day. It... More

Was in New Orleans for a bachelorette weekend and the cocktail tour with Sandy Smith was a great group activity! We walked to several bars in the French Quarter area and she had a ton of background on New Orleans, the bars, famous cocktails and was a ton of laughs! I highly recommend this tour for folks looking for a... More

We had booked this with our tour company as we thought it would be a good thing to do whilst visiting New Orleans. The paddle boat was ok, the staff however were so badly organised it was unbelievable. The queue for the bar was that long it took up a quarter of the 2 hour cruise which we missed the... More

This 3 and 1/2 hour tour was very informative. The guide, Daniel Chick, did an excellent job explaining some very difficult issues dealing with such a horrific event. We went to the Katrina Memorial which was very moving. We visited Gentilly and the Ninth Ward and saw that many places were not rebuilt. We discussed politic issues, the problems with... More

My friends and I took the ghost tour since we had gone on one about five years prior and really enjoyed it. This time was different, the groups are much larger, we didn't walk too far into the French Quarter and it was more history of the fires & diseases than ghost stories. Plus there were so many other tours... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
