Flat out, no debate, during the time we were in town this place had the best JAZZ in the Quarter! Tight space, tables not always available, but that is because of the great music from the stage! So much fun! 👍

We went to the Jazz Playhouse 3 different times during our trip to NOLA. The first time I wasn't as crazy about the music since there were no bass players, although my husband really liked it. The next 2 times were fabulous. We saw the...More

We saw Nayo Jones and her quartet. I am not a jazz fan but my husband is. We arrived about 15 minutes before the show which is located inside the beautiful Sonora Hotel with no reservations. We were not dressed up which I wish I...More

We purchased the reserved seating in this small venue so we could be upfront with the jazz trio and singer. we were not disapponted with the table or music. Both were out of this world. However, it is apparent that many folks attend these events...More

This is a great location to enjoy good jazz on Bourbon Street. No cover, but you need to buy one drink. We've heard a couple of different groups and they've always been good. Little more of an upscale atmosphere.

We stayed at the Royal Sonesta Hotel which is where the Jazz Playhouse is located. The music is not the same each night. Make sure to ask who will be playing. We got there over an hour early for the Brass-a-holics. You can also make...More

Tucked away in the Sonesta Hotel, The Jazz Playhouse draped in red velvet offers a romantic evening of cocktails, appetizers, candlelight at small tables and the wonderful sounds of jazz. A nice break from the typical sounds on Bourbon Street. It's the difference between Haagen...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
