Very cool to check out while at The French Quarter, its the pldest outdoor open market. Food, gifts, spices, jewelery and people watching. Good place to kick back and wait for a local tour.

Although it's in a good location and worth a look as it's been there forever. I would say it's not an authentic farmers market anymore. Just mainly tourist trincets

Had a walk through early morning and there was plenty on show. Well worth a visit but be warned you have to walk through groups of horrible, drunk, rude homeless types on the approach to the market.

What a marvelous experience!! Almost endless array of enticing food and items for sale in a uniquely NOLA setting next to the French Quarter. This is s great venue for people watching, dining or shopping with several blocks of vendors arrayed under a vintage Farmer's...More

This is a rather interesting place. It's like an upscale flea market. There are many food vendors along with some great artists.

The market is not what it once was. It is more like a flea market than farmers market. Very little is left of the fruits, vegetables, meats, etc of yesteryear.

Farmer's market has and offers everything you would want to take home from New Orleans. They have T-shirts, shot glasses, hats, food, souvenirs, etc. all in a compact area. Lots of locals and fairly good prices (inexpensive!!).

Definitely a must on any agenda if visiting New Orleans. Lots of little stalls with local ware.. Lovely stalls for food and drinks. Should try the seafood and aligator sausages. Fantastic vibe but they close early.

Cheap junk and rows of generic low quality t-shirts. Nothing more than a large crowded flea market. There are a few stands with nice pictures and artwork of the city but even they are not worth the crap you have to wade through to find...More

I had mixed feeling about the market. Maybe on the weekend it is more interesting and perhaps because everyone raved about it. I found many things that were not made in New Orleans, and many items of inferior quality mixed in with some real finds.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
