This is a regular stop on our New Orleans trips and as always the courtyard dining at Bourbon Heat allows for a great overall experience. A great place to take the kids and the food is always really good. This time we did experience issues we have never had before as they were out of Gumbo....really in New Orleans? but... More

This place has mixed reviews but the Groupon was a great deal so we gave it a shot. We had 45 minutes before a walking tour so I let the waitress know and she got our order in super fast. 2 for 1 drinks and nice patio. Service was excellent. Food was decent.

Seriously had a blast here when visiting NOLA. Live good music. We where lucky enough to be around when Rockin Dopsie Jr stopped in and played a few songs. Sherman plays almost every day & is a lot of fun & talented. He lets other talented people sing & play. We at there once & shrimp was great. Many times... More

Clearly I'm not a New Orleans local. After spotting a big fat rat and several mice crawling across the patio, I immediately headed towards the front entrance. The waitress shouted "this is Louisiana, this isn't the first time you're gonna see a rat!" It felt like a scene from a movie. I'm running towards the door & the waitress shouting... More

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little hesitant to go there with my friends. I had purchased a Groupon so It covered a majority of the cost. The alligator sausage was very good. I had something that was a combination of jambalaya and gumbo and it was very good. The entertainer was quite good

Very nice servers. We got an assortment of appetizers and dinners to share. Food is just ok but service is good. Nice place to visit on Bourbon but nothing great on the food. Reasonably priced for being in the middle of everything.

After a long day of tourist stuff, my mom and I ended up here for dinner. I had the blackened chicken and mom had red beans and rice and wings and it was fabulous! Our wait staff was friendly and engaging. The court yard patio was interesting and we enjoyed ourselves greatly.

First off, I must say that the wait staff here is friendly, and engaging. Our Server was Allen....he was so friendly, and personable...We really enjoyed talking with him. Allen was knowledgeable about the menu, area, and local culture which we just loved! The menu was pricey, but isn't every menu in New Orleans....Food was very good, and the Cocktails were... More

I enjoyed the courtyard seating and shaded table. Our waitress was attentive and the food good. The menu offered dishes unique to New Orleans and the drinks were just what you'd expect to find on Bourbon street.

we were kind of leary , this being on bourbon street, but was greatly surprised. the waitress was wonderful and the food was outstanding. we ordered the catfish poorboy and the caesar salad with BBQ shrimp. the drinks were very good, and not watered down as most are on bourbon street. the outside patio was very nice.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
