We went on a 1 hour tour with Jamie and princess Fiona(our mule), this was by far the best tour i have ever had. Jaime was very informative while at the same time being amusing. Couldn't have asked for a better time. And the Princess was a beautiful and obviously very experienced mule. Loved, loved, loved this tour.

Had a great experience. We were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. Aileen was a great tour guide and very entertaining. A great way to experience the French Quarter without having to drive or walk. A shout out to Desire the mule who made the ride very comfortable!

Mark, our driver grew up in New Orleans and was so much more authentic than some of the drivers for other companies that sometimes play fast and loose with the facts. This is a real New Orleans highlight

My wife and I engaged Jonathan and Chicory to provide a 30 minute tour for us and our friends. Jonathan did an excellent job describing the French Quarter and its history, as well as the reason all carriages are drawn by mules. All four of us enjoyed asking him questions and his responses, and commented after the tour that doing... More

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our carriage tour. Our guide, Aileen, was sweet, informative and very entertaining, and I would certainly request her again. Our mule, Desire, was very well behaved even with a lot of noise from road construction. The tour was not scary at all and mostly historical. I would definitely recommend this to friends!

This was really a great way to see the French Quarter! Both of us have trouble walking distances, and we were able to relax and enjoy! It was open air and slow paced so that we could see everything!

Thanks so much Marylin for pointing out that our carriages are ideal for individuals who may need to rest the legs. Knowing that so many individuals are limited, our carriages provide an authentic experience to those travelers that a bus, golf cart, or segway cannot replicate. We really appreciate your business and hope you enjoyed your entire trip! Nancy Landry... More

Jonathan and Chicory were great and we learned so much about the history. If we had more time we would have gone again! This is highly recommended for a fun day in New Orleans.

We were in New Orleans for the French Quarter Festival. Our driver Jonathan, was courteous and informative, provided us with some interesting information about the city and its inhabitants that we were unaware of. Napoleon, his mule, was very obedient and definitely knew the "drill".

Thanks for visiting New Orleans during French Quarter Fest. It is one of the best festivals in New Orleans and one of the best ways to get exposed to great local music. We are so happy to know you enjoyed your time in New Orleans in addition to the time spent with Jonathan on his mule-drawn carriage. We hope to... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
