This beautiful church was built in the 1800's. The architect designed the church in the Moorish style and both the interior and exterior contain numerous symbols of the Catholic, Muslim and Jewish faiths. It was designed as a testament to the period in Spain when most of the country was governed by the Moors and all three faiths lived together... More

This church is stunning! It has a very impressive gold altar. It is a beautiful wedding venue but also great to attend mass if you are in the area. It is just down the street from the famous Roosevelt Hotel so drop in if you're in the area.

This is a Roman Catholic church in the Central Business District of the city. We almost walked past it, the exterior is not very church like. But when we got inside we were almost taken aback by its beauty. I would absolutely recommend it. Hope this is helpful.

If your tolerance for churches is limited, go to this one. It is stunning and beautifully taken care of. I'm not Catholic but I loved the beauty and serenity and architecture.

Just beautiful. Completely restored a few years past, go to Mass as not open much otherwise. It would probably do you good.

While visiting New Orleans we attended the Easter Mass at Immaculate Conception and it was lovely. My husband's family attended this historic church in the early 1900's. Beautiful Church with a friendly congregation. So glad we went!

Read a review about Immaculate Conception Church so decided to see for myself. The Church was beautiful. I was so impressed with the architecture and the impeccable maintenance of it. It was so tranquil sitting there and marveling at it.

Located across from the Roosevelt Hotel, ICC is beautiful. The stain glass and carvings are breathtaking. Glad I finally went in to light a candle.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
