Peach Martini!

Worth stopping in to check out the carousel and see the artwork on it and the walls. The peach martini was yummy.

I was blown away by the elegance and charm of this bar/lounge. The carousel actually turns, so you have to be careful getting up and down. At first its a strange feeling but you get used to it quickly, and you can't even tell you are moving. The night my fiancé and I went they had live music, which I... More

Atmosphere was great . You can never go wrong stopping in for a drink. The seating at the bar moves slowly and the bartenders are very knowledge and eager to help you with suggestions for visiting around NOLA .

There's a carousel with a bar that is spinning. There are tons of well dressed people looking for a table. We were lucky enough to be in the right place and time for a table. We got the crab beignets, which were good. But does this place warrant a must see? Not really. It's still got a hotel bar feel.

We heard so many good things so decided to check it out. Drinks are not great and very over priced. If you want a seat on the carousel get there when the doors open. It's very crowded and bad service. Glad we saw it but won't go back.

Had a couple of after dinner drinks while relaxing to a live, the piece band and a young woman who had a beautiful voice. It was crowded but were lucky to find a place to sit. Go there for the music and enjoy the ambience. Drinks were pricey but then there is no cover!

This is one of the iconic cocktail lounges you should visit while in the quarter. You should be dressed business casual or better. They serve iconic New Orleans cocktail fare in a unique setting. The Sazeracs were top notch and the crafish and crab beignets were a great twist on a local classic. Get there early if you want to... More

This is a great place for people watching. We were there during the holidays. You have to get there early to get a seat. Drinks are average size and the prices are on the high side for NOLA. But it is quite a scene.

Another bucket list stop for a drink and the Carousel bar did not disappoint. Beautiful bar great drinks and good company could not have asked for more. We met some lovely folks sitting next to us who said the beignets here were a secret treasure we did not have them but maybe next time. A of course the carousel bar... More

This place was absolutely stunning! The carousel was just something unforgettable! Easy to find in the French Quarter and worth every penny! I recommend trying the Bolivian-Rita (singani 63, mathilde peche, agave nectar, lime & orange juice, salted rim)

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
