this is a great quiet area near the Univ. of New Orleans. It has great sunsets and is a nice walk for a couple of family

The Mardi Gras fountain has recently undergone a complete and exciting renovation with programed color changing lighting and dancing water effects. Work is nearly finished and the grand opening will be announced soon.

This was an awesome sight years ago but the levee board has not kept it up since Katrina. Prior to that it was given a face lift, but hasn't spewed water in years and years.
