My daughters took a two-hour glass blowing workshop and were so inspired that now they want to continue studying this. The instructor was patient and showed them how to blow 4 different pieces each. Well worth the expense.

Two hours flew by while my husband and I made 3 glass ornaments, 4 glasses - 1 highball, 1 tom Collins, 1 wine goblet stemware, 1 wine glass and a fancy glass bowl! Ok, Craig, our super instructor does a lot, guiding your hands holding the tools and lots of close supervision, but it was the best class ever!!!!!! It... More

Easy on the street parking $6 for 2 hours, may use credit card. Great facility and instructor to blow your own beautiful glass work of art. This should be on your bucket list. It may seem expensive but you can blow 3-5 items in the 2 hour class. You could keep your work of art or make them for presents.... More

I took the two-hour glass blowing workshop and the memories will last forever. I got to make 5 different items and they were just delivered to my home perfectly packed and even more beautiful than I remember them. Kyle was an amazing teacher and very supportive and informative. We worked side by side to create my pieces. People were allowed... More

While walking our pups (stayed at a hotel in the Warehouse District for holiday vacation time), we were thrilled to find this studio and enticed by the lovely works of art in the front windows. We are quite familiar with glass art, both blown and stained foil/lead. This is the first studio we have been to, that allows visitors to... More

I visited New Orleans glassworks two days ago with my aunt and cousin. We had an AMAZING instructor, Kyle- who was so kind, patient, helpful and skilled. We each made three glass pieces. The process was so interesting and Kyle helped us throughout. We were so happy with the day and are thrilled with our pieces!! Thank you New Orleans... More

We happened on the store in front and then found that they had an active studio in the back that was open to the public. It was great and the works these artists produced were phenomenal. They had chairs set up so you could safely watch them creating their masterpieces from a glob of glass to a work of art.... More

We were walking to the WWII Museum and stabled upon this place. There was a sign that said you could watch glass blowing so we went in. We did not get to see anyone blowing glass, but we did watch an artist in his early 20s get a lesson on glass working and watched him craft a beautiful glass duck... More

My husband, friends and I thought we would try something different and took a glassworks class. The studio has beautiful pieces and they have a great facility. When it comes to the class I think it is all about your instructor. There are 2-3 people per instructor. Our friends instructor was giving them information and history as they were making... More

Noticed this place while walking from our hotel to the WWII Museum and came back the next day to check it out. Due to the season we stayed in the showroom as they were not doing much in the back this morning. Lots of fascinating objects in the showroom and all are on sale. A little something for everyone and... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
