This was a fun photo opportunity stop. The kids thought it was hilarious, and it's near Maranatha Baptist Church, right on the side of the road. Definitely stop and take a picture. How often do you see something like this?!
This is a fun place to visit in Plains, especially for children. My grandsons got a real kick out of it. The statue is next to a small convenience store. The gentleman working there was friendly. It is a good place to get a snack....More

President Carter apparently hates this thing (it's not very flattering, is it?), but the peanut selfie is a must when you're leaving Maranatha Baptist Church or just visiting Plains. Be careful - there's a fire ant hill right next to it.
