Easy to park and access, more parking lots around. 300m walking from parking lot. Information center with lots of info on waterenergy and WC is available.
Entrance fee is 6€, free with Zell am See Summercard.
Surprisingly big gorge, amazing view and noise of the water. Walking on wodden stairs couple hundreds. Easy walk, takes 1,5 hour unless you hike around the Klemmsee above the gorge.
Beautiful tour, definatelly one of the best in Zell am See area ! Highly recommended !

This is a nice walk up the gorge on constructed board walks. Interesting. There is a lake at the top that is also worth a walk around. If you have the summer card then it’s free a is the bus from Zell am See.

We went on the mystical night of water tour for €12 each in July. We loved the sights and would love to go back in the daytime for sure, the atmosphere when you get to the fire at the end was amazing and really enjoyed the baked potato. The musician was brilliant too. We got a glow stick to guide us back in the dark.
I wish we could have spent longer on the gorge walk - I didn’t realise that you couldn’t go back the same way so really take your time. The evening had to end early as there was a storm on the way too. It would be great if they could time the tours alongside the bus arrivals as we weren’t driving.

The sigmund thon offers a great view of waterfalls while you are climbing on a long latter. The price for adult was 6.5 Euro and kids under 5bare getting in for free. We thought it would be hard for them to climb, though they did it (with a bit of a help from time to time on our sholders/hands).
I would definetly recommended on this attraction.

You will have new views at every turn without worrying to much of the surroundings. Tha pathway is very well built so you can enjoy the water show withouth worrying that you will slip or fall.

Little disappointed with this Gorge. Thought it would be a lot longer and a little more exiting. One way up and that's it. If you get stuck behind a group it can take too long

We were 2 adults with one 3-year-old child.
You enter the attraction and start climbing up.
it's relatively easy, even for a 3-year-old.
It's extremely beautiful to see the various angles of the waterfall and the rocky shapes - some of which have names and secrets to be found, which just adds to the attraction.
At the top of the location, you enter the reserve where you can take a nice and easy stroll and enjoy the nature view.
We had a great time there.

One of the best canyons we have been in Europe.
It's well equipped with selfie spots and easy to hike.
You have to wear a jacket because it is wet and it may be chilly due to it's depth.
At the end you can walk around a pond wich has a watercolour like in the Caribean.
We enjoyed it very much.

The gorge is beautiful and the water running through it very impressive. There are points marked for selfies and some information points on the route. The hiking through the route is not very hard, sometimes slippery.
At the end of the route we continued the hike around the lake.
When we visited it was crowded so much, that selfie points were irrelevant at all.
As we were at another gorges in Austria, this one is definitely not the best. And the great disappointment is at the end of the route to reveal that the waterfall is artificial.
Overall experience is nice, if you weren't in another gorges - go, it worth it.

Nice place to visit. You’ll get a small discount (10%) with the Saalbach joker card. There is a info center at the entrance with an informative video on the construction and operation of the hydro power complex.
Be mindful that due to COVID-19, this is only one-way. But you can take a easy walk (or short intense hike via Bürgkogel) back to the parking lots.

but as Iqbal_Pal has answered, checking for the name will find it and that coordinate is for the small car park, a larger car park is just 100 metres further. Going up that road you can not miss the signs.

Yes. But there are steps/stairs in few places where you will need to lift it up. Otherwise, the path is wide enough and smooth for the wheels.
You may check the pictures on internet to see the steps.

I would be interested to visit the place but cannot exceed a time limit of around 45 minutes; I would not intend to make a long excursion as I am elderly. I read one cannot return the same way. Is there such a problem? I thank you for your assistance.

we will be here in early August. How late is it open? We don't be arriving until late afternoon/early evening? Also any local hotels that are close to it? And recommended time it takes?
