We stayed here for a weeks skiing Our hotel was very central and close to the lake, train station and town centre. Zell is a good base for skiing as you can access the slopes via the city Xpress gondola or one further away You also have Kaprun which is a short bus ride away.

Visited Zell am See with a group of keen and experienced skiers. The ski area is good, but fairly limited if you like "chewing up the miles" on your skis. I would suggest for less experienced skiers, the place is perfect. Zell is a good base though for visiting other areas, and the new ski pass allows days out, at... More

Zell am See is a beautiful town with historic buildings and picturesque views. We spent a day just chilling after a day's skiing in the Wildkogel Arena. Had a small salad at the Grand Hotel which has a prime location overlooking the lake. Great service in this quality hotel.

Stayed for a skiing week. The snow in March was thin and rare. There are lifts from the town to get you up the mountains. There is also a frequent ski bus to the Kaprun glacier for high level skiing. It is on a lake which you can bike or walk around ; 11 Kms. There are summer activities to... More

Zell am See is an excellent ski area, especially for people of intermediate ability. We were here for 2 weeks and certainly did not get board of the skiing available. Snow machines means snow conditions on the hill are still good even if it hasn't been snowing in the area itself. The chairlifts etc... are all modern and clear the... More

A fairly small ski resort but has plenty to offer. We were here late season, end March, and whilst the skiing on the upper slopes was great the lower slopes were a bit patchy. A good choice of runs, some quite long ones . A very good lift infrastructure, all very modern. Late season it was great, almost like a... More
