I skied Solden, Kuhtai and here, and the best skiing was here. It was so quiet which meant no queues, empty slopes which stayed in good condition and there are trees. It was a really pleasant surprise. It's not a huge area, but the runs are varied and well linked.

The slopes are professionally prepared and if you go within off season not crowded. Sufficient number and variety even in spring or autumn accompanied by fantastic views. Worth recommending!

The snow wasn't great when we were there as it was unseasonably warm. However, locals we spoke to skied at Hochoetz time and time again. There were many lifts which dispersed people across the mountains quickly. There wasn't a long wait at any given lift. We would return during better snow conditions.

Beautiful ski region, ideal for family with children. The region is not very large and the children can be observed almost all the time while they are learning to ski.

Great diversity of the mountains and their difficulties. Wonderful views. Cute cafes with decent food. Easy to navigate. We spent a week there and didn't get bored. Highly recommended.

Skiing at Kuhtai, but had a few windy white out days so decided to go down the valley to Hochoetz. A gem of a place with easy runs in among the trees .

Hochoetz provided a stunning view over the whole town and friends and I were overall very pleased with the whole experience. Solden itself is very special because it's such an eccentric, exciting, busy place during ski season and then transforms itself to a quaint, humble, town in the down season. It's beautiful year-round.

My wife and I took the Gondola to the top in order to experience the ride and look at the view on our summer trip to Oetz. It was an amazing experience and great view from the top. The elevation of 2020m is breathtaking. Looking at the clouds below and glaciers on other mountains is definitely a view to cherish.... More

May be we were very lucky this year, but even early April we had super skiing conditions. The ride to the glacier is amazing, but also skiing on both the Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch is really great. Due to the fact that all skiing schools start their lessons on the Giggijoch it's a bit more crowded at this side than on... More

I've been places skiing all over the Alps since 1970, and Sölden beats them all. Only two years ago, for the first time I went to Chamonix and Courmayeur, only to find it surpassed by Mayrhofen (where I have returned three times after my first visit in 1972). This year, for the first time I went to Sölden only to... More
