Had breakfast in Kona and wanted to stop at a coffee plantation without driving all the way to Captain Cook before heading back to the hotels in Kohala. This was perfect. 10 minutes out of town up the mountain, the drive up was scenic and...More

We enjoyed walking through this plantation, and they have great coffee. It is not inexpensive, but it's worth the price. Lovely flowers around, and a nice little gift shop. Very local feel; not a big commercial production.

The free tours are every hour, on the hour. The tour itself it quite short - you get to see a plant that is growing the beans, then samples of beans in various parts of the picking process, then some machines and the roaster, and...More

Mountain Thunder is my favorite Kona coffee. It is a small, family-run business and their attention to quality is evident not only in their coffee, but how the small plantation is operated and how they roast their beans. Like many of the plantations, you can...More

This plantation is located way up a mountain. We drove up and took a guided tour. It's a quaint, small location but the tour was short and informative. There was a sample area for trying different types of Kona coffee and tea and of course...More

Easy to get to, great coffee, knowledgeable staff and not outrageously over priced. The tour was quick, indoors, and we learned a lot about coffee. Will join the Club and enjoy the greatest, freshest coffee everyday and remember a great vacation too.

Extremely informative about "real" Kona coffee. Tour was very good. Loved the tastings. I did go home with a bag.

We wanted to get a feel for how coffee was made. And this did not disappoint. At 3200 feet above sea level it was a cool 65 degrees and it rains every day there. I loved the ability to try their coffees and then go...More

I also have the same concern, also because the former owner Bateman kept emailing about his "new website" trying to sell me coffee. At this point I am uncertain what url is his and what is the new owner's. I doubt the new... More
