We wanted to get a feel for how coffee was made. And this did not disappoint. At 3200 feet above sea level it was a cool 65 degrees and it rains every day there. I loved the ability to try their coffees and then go...More

Great coffee. Learned a lot about the process and different size beans and roasting methods. They end up discarding to compost a good percentage of beans. Didn’t know freezing beans is bad storage method. Also they have a shelf life of only 1 year. Bought...More

We got a cool little tour that maybe lasted 15 minutes and a couple good samples. Walked away with a bag of some primo coffee and was happy we stopped by. Definitely worth a quick trip.

This place was pretty easy to get to, just a little way up the hills, and had a cool (and fairly quick) little tour going over the coffee making process. You can't tour the fields themselves (or at least, that's not a standard part of...More

A lovely coffee plantation that offers a guided tour of the coffee making process. Learned a lot about coffee and sampled some of their blends. A lovely gift shop as well. Each plantation is different so be sure to visit more than one.

Great tour. We learned more about the actual process than what we had see on other coffee tours. Close to Kailua-Kona, very convenient.

Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation's ownership changed in April of 2017. The previous owner has no connection to the farm. Mountain Thunder coffee is available at the farm and online at Mountain Thunder's website.
