We chartered the boat for a whale watch for our group of four. It cost us less than booking a tour on a large boat. Captain Tom was very friendly and knowledgeable and tailored the trip to what we wanted to do. We saw several whales, spinner dolphins, and beautiful scenery! The boat was clean and comfortable, water was provided,... More

The most important part in knowing where the whales are and this company uses captains that are experts at finding them We saw lots of whales, dolphins, sea turtles and even a tiger shark. I recommend the experience as part of what Hawaii has to offer.

My mom (68) and I (38) did the introductory dive with Nate and Austin on 7/6/16 and had an amazing experience. Both guys were well informed, patient, funny, friendly and wonderful to dive with. We started on land with wet suit, mask, and fin fitting then had a training session about hand signals and proper use of the equipment. After... More

My children purchased this whale watching adventure for my for my 50th Birthday present. Not only was I pleased beyond belief, but I learned so much about the whale species and dolphin species that we saw as well as about the ocean itself. Captain Tom took our safety into concern, watching the weather so as to prevent us from having... More

Capt. Tom was knowledgeable and sociable. Yes, it was a long ride north up the coast, but he obviously knows where to go and how to best watch whales. Get to the right spot as quick as you can and start the process. Speed up when appropriate and slow down when appropriate. We saw about 6-8 whales, numerous blows, and... More

We booked a private charter with Captain Tom, $480 which was well worth the price! We went on a whale watching trip and because it was a private charter, he threw two trolling lines out, if we caught something one of us could reel it in! We saw upwards of 10 whales, some getting 150-200 feet away! None jumped but... More

This was by far the best whale watching experience I have ever had. Tom was a great captain: we had an AMAZING experience and our group of 6 were all impressed with his knowledge & skills. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in having a great day on the water with a great skipper! He knew exactly... More

Capt. Tom was very honest with us telling us that it wasn't humpback season, but our friends really wanted to get out on the ocean. I asked him to throw out a few fishing lines, which he gladly did. On the way out I caught a 10 lb. skipjack which we released. We didn't see any whales but did spend... More

We have been fortunate enough to go whale watching in Australia, Alaska, British Columbia, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and the Caribbean and Tom was probably the most adept we have experienced. Even though he doesn't radio back and forth for updates from other boats, he quickly found whales based on his forty years of working the waters around Kona. In... More
