Best Coffee on the Big Island

We continue to return to Kona Mountain Coffee every year as they have the best coffee found so far and their nuts and other treats are wonderful.

We went to see the place, after seeing the reviews. It's a nice shop, just like any coffee shop in a strip mall, but the coffee and service are so different! They roast the beans right there, and there was a gentleman offering free samples and information. The coffee really is delish. The chocolate covered nuts are rich and wonderful.... More

What a bold and caramel-y ice coffee! We also picked up some great white chocolate with coffee, coconut and macadamia nuts to bring home to friends. Definitely recommend!

My husband loves a good iced mocha and in a pinch he'll do the big chains, but he prefers to visit the local mocha joints. This was a great stop. The staff couldn't do enough for us - giving us a tour, educating us on their process and yes, samples....lots and lots of samples. Hot coffee, cold coffee, samples of... More

I'm not a big coffee drinker but we stopped here out of convenience after dining at Pine Tree Cafe next door (highly recommend). We had promised some folks back home that we'd bring back Kona coffee. They had a huge selection and everything smelled fantastic. I do like mocha so ordered one and it was one of the best I've... More

Kona Mountain Coffee is one of our favorite stops when on the Big Island. Their kona coffee is sooooo smooth and affordable. If you happen in at the right time you can watch them through a window roasting the beans in the room next door. They have a very nice showroom full of interesting items and sell 100% Kona Coffee... We stumbled upon Kona Mountain thought it was fantastic, but kept on trying other Kona grown coffees and ended up right back here. We enjoyed their coffee tremendously that we ended up going everyday for a cup of coffee hot & cold. The people that work here are great, super friendly, eager to help you and teach you about the... I visit this store every time I'm on the island and am always amazed at the coffee smell that greets you as you enter the front door. Noting like it! You are always greeted immediately upon entering and samples are offered for your enjoyment. They ship anything you purchase if desired and the service provided is the best. I recommend... More

While we didn't visit the Center, my husband and I have been ordering the Coffee, regularly, for years, after sampling different coffees on a trip to the Islands in 2012. I'm sure their Visitor Center has the same quality of product and Customer Service that we have experienced by visiting their website and speaking with their employees. Their newsletters are... This was a really educational tour about growing coffee and the process for picking, sorting, cleaning, drying and everything else needed to make coffee. It is in a really nice location at higher elevations above Kailua and was a great break from the humid heat of the city. The coffee grown at Kona Mountain is organic and it is obvious... More
