Good pier for locals for fishing, friendly to chat with when you have a moment. We were here to launch outrigger canoe boats and this was a great location to assemble them.

We stopped by the pier on the way to the Kona Brewery tour. It had a very low key, local vibe. Nice little shops along the water front as well.

This is just the pier where you catch the boats that take you out for activities on the water. Nothing very exciting about it.

We enjoyed the protected area for swimming distances with marker buoys. One can see the bottom so great swim 'views' with fish and coral. Felt safe with several swimmers in the water every time we swam

Very scenic, especially from a boat. We were able to watch the canoe races while waiting. We will be going back to do some shopping.

Beautiful bay with a lot of activity such as swimming, stand up, catching tour boats, to name a few. Good photo spot for sunrise or sunset.

Enjoy watching all the coming and goings of the ships, boats, swimmers, kayaks, beachcombers! Spent many afternoons just taking it all in.
