Taking a tour of the Ocean Rider Seahorse Farm is an awesome way to get closer to nature and learn about these delightful creatures. Ladies, the men carry and have the babies! You get to see the baby seahorses and follow them to adulthood. The tour ends as your guide twines one of these beautiful creatures around your finger. We've... More

This was a first day activity, to ease into the vacation. This is an amazing facility. It was created to provide for the aquarium trade - to reduce that collecting of sea horses in the wild. The tour was very informative. The guides answered all our questions and were very friendly. Near the end of the tour, you can have... More

Despite many of the reviews focusing on the cost of the tour, we found because of what they do, it is worth the $40 or so adult admission. They have researched and advanced the ability to care for and keep seahorses alive well beyond the typical 6-8 weeks most people keep one. Try...12-18 years! How they have done that is... More

Great experience that you can't find anywhere else. Easy to find near the airport. Other facilities in close proximity, such as the fish farm across the road.

This is an expensive tour that we skipped last trip to Kona but did this trip and am glad. Found it very informative and interesting, and one that kids would enjoy. The gift shop was depressingly bland, devoid of unique items and much could be done to improve offerings, for those of us who absolutely love sea horses.

One of our favorite animals of all time. Been hoping to see one in the wild for years without any success. The tour of the operation was fantastic and having the opportunity to actually have limited contact with a seahorse was great.

A very different kind of tour. Very interesting with a great tour guide Ashley. I was a little disappointed that the holding of the sea horse was only once and for a very short time but I would highly recommend the tour.

Anything and everything you wanted to know about seahorses can be found here. Great educational experience for kids and adults. The guides are very passionate about the work done at the facility. It's important to visit this facility so they can help preserve the wild seahorse population.

A great way to learn about seahorses & be able to interact with them. Many different varieties to be found there.
