Experience the Alaska State Sport! Each summer, mushers bring their sled dogs to our Musher’s Camp for summer training, and you can participate in one of their training runs when 16 Alaskan Huskies pull your custom-designed, wheeled summer sled down a mile-long forested trail. You’ll also ride an all-wheel drive Unimog up our mountain, cuddle up with our adorable husky puppies, learn about this adventurous sport in our interactive “Kennel Talk,” and so much more!

We did this as an excursion through our cruise ship and it was hands down THE BEST experience of the cruise. Austin, our guide, was super informative and had a lot of local knowledge. We were taking up in small groups to the dog sleds...More

We're so happy that you had an AMAZING time at our Musher's Camp! It's something else to see how much Alaskan Huskies love to run and who doesn't love holding puppies! Hope to see you again sometime in the future :)

Matt was very informative and entertaining. We learned a lot about sled dogs. For my two daughters, getting to hold the 5-week old sled dog puppy was the highlight of our entire trip to Alaska. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

I can’t say enough great things about this excursion. The man in charge is an actual Iditarod rider with a magical and humorous personality. A very well run and caring place to visit.

I'll recommend this tour for persons of all ages. My favourite part was the little 'talk; after we exited the bus. The old rustic setting brought back memories of my childhood with the metal tub, scrubbing board and washing machine etc. and the attire worn...More

You’d have to check the cost but to do snow you would either do a helicopter or plane tour that would take you where the snow is. Probably around $500 usd.

It’s $600 per person to take a helicopter to a glacier and do dog sledding. But beware, most of them get cancelled. I tried in two ports and both were cancelled for weather (this was in August).

We booked via the cruise ship but they should be online or on the TripAdviser "Things to do in Skagway" page
