Skagway's "The Days of '98 Show with Soapy Smith"! - The Longest Running show in the north! Since 1923, The Days of '98 show has stupefied and bedazzled audiences with the tale of Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith, Alaska's most notorious outlaw. Soapy reigned over Skagway during the wildest days of the Klondike Gold Rush, and this colorful vaudevillian musical recounts his incredible life and dramatic demise! With can-can dancers, ragtime music, riotous humor, and the great con-man himself, Soapy Smith, this show is a treat for the whole family!

We were not sure when the show started if we would enjoy it. By the end we loved it! Produced in a very informative and amusing way on the history of Skagway. The story teller was very good as were all the performers. The show lasts about an hour and well worth a visit.

This is a can can dancing, honky tonk vaudeville type show. It is based in 1898 during Skagway's early wild gold rush times and tells the story of notorious con man and gangster "Soapy" Smith. The all too short hour long performance was well done and great fun. There are several performances during the day, but we enjoyed an evening... More

This is a musical live stage show, chronicling the story of "Soapy" Smith, a rascal bar tender in the days of '98. Lots of fun and humor. Don't sit too close to the front, or you may become part of the show! Definitely a "must do" when visiting Skagway!

Our group of four was visiting Skagway as part of our cruise. Walking around town we accidentally saw that this show was being performed. Intrigued we decided to treat ourselves to it. Seems that The Days of '98 Show is a long running vaudevillian musical, since 1923. This is a lively and humorous retelling of the tale of Soapy Smith,... More

The musical live stage show is based on legendary "Soapy" Smith from the 1890's. I was one of the audience who participated, doing the Can Can on stage with three saloon girls!! Our cruise ship local advisor recommended this attraction and we weren't disappointed.
