Here at Alaska 360's Dredge Town in Skagway, Alaska, you can immerse yourself in the history and beauty of the Klondike Gold Rush. Visitors are transported back to the 1890's as our costumed staff meets, greets, guides, and entertains them. Our site includes everything from gold panning, to Iditarod sled dogs, to an authentic dredge and a chamber where you can experience 40-below temperatures. On site you can enjoy the many attractions and displays including a dress up photo shack, movies, and educational exhibits. There is also a restaurant and soda factory to allow our guests to make a day of it at Dredge Town. We aren’t just tours – we are an experience!

So we all know that the gold panning is not as authentic as it was in the 1890s, but we did find $30 worth of gold between two adults and two children. They have a weigh station that gives you the spot price of what...More

We went with a large family group with a wide range of ages. This was advertised as Sled dogs, gold panning and 40 below, or also as Alaska 360. Not sure why so many names, but maybe they are trying to avoid some bad reviews?...More

This is a great activity if you are in Skagway with kids. The location is spectacular (right on the Skagway glacier river). The employees dress in costume and make it fun for the kids. You will definitely find some gold flakes and my kids had...More

I'm not sure why this is listed under Klondike Gold Dredge Tours... They told us the place was called Alaska 360... Think they are rebranding? Either way, we had a fun experience here. We especially LOVED the Gold Rush Sled Dogs Iditarod demonstration by Matt...More

It was a pleasant time. The demonstration by the actor on how to pan gold was very entertaining and the panning was corney but fun. The little village was interesting and combined with the dog demonstration was great. Hard Hearing Harry was great. He was...More

I agree with CMA7117 about Klondike Gold Dredge Tours. Matt and the sled dogs were fantastic. The panning for gold was fun, especially for the kids. The rest was just a way to fill hours so they could charge $140pp for the tour. Food was...More

I heard about this tour from a friend who said it was awesome. My family did this for an excursion on a cruise. Make sure you book the Gold Nugget Tour. They teach you how to pan for gold and then let you pan for...More

We just did the basic gold panning for the kids, 6 and 4, and they had a great time panning for their own gold and were thrilled to find some in their pans! Grizzly Anderson was our guide and he was great. Good time for...More

Certainly among the more reasonably priced excursions.....you get a lot for your money. You will find gold when panning (you receive a pan full of local dirt with gold mixed in, there isn't and there has never been gold in Skagway.). You get an interesting...More
