used to be a magical place a few years ago, but very busy and commercial now. It feels like any other beach.

If you are looking for a place to just enjoy the sandy beaches while in Seattle, Alki is likely your best bet. You can stop by Harbor Ave to get a picturesque view of the skyline and then head on to the beach where you can have your kids build sand castles or watch volleyball while soaking up some sun.

Walked along the shore and found many beautiful rocks. Many cafes to choose from. The view was spectacular.

This beach probably is more fun in the summer like most beaches. The day we went we walked on the rocky sand and saw lots of birds and a couple Seals out in the water.

Alki is a great escape from the city while you are still in it!. The beach makes you feel like you are in California. If you are brave enough to tread the water go ahead! Its pretty cold!

Stunning view of the beach. Lots of restaurants, pubs, and ice creams shops. Paved waterfront trail and paved bike path. Dog friendly, except not on the actual beach. A must see when visiting Seattle.

Great place to go as a tourist only down side was parking. It took quite some time to find a spot but we also aren't use to the big city. lots of little shops and places to eat. Kids found some shells and made them happy.

Hop on public transit and enjoy a day at the beach! It was an arts and crafts market the day we visited which was a lot of fun... face painting and lots of handmade items. Ate at Pegasus Pizza- delicious. The ocean had mucky algae in August lapping up with the waves so we didn't go in. Sons had fun... More
