What a view. If you are a photographer, this is a great place to get some shots of the city. Two recommendations if that is the reason for your visit, the reflections in the windows do tend to cause some issues and bring a tripod, it's a hassle, but it does help with the evening shots. I have some friends... More

From this observatory you get the best view of Seattle and surrounding areas and could very well be Seattle's best kept secret. We visited the observatory a day after the more famous Space Needle and only after we were made aware of its existence by a local friend. The building is in downtown and a short walk from the hotel... More

When I came up here it was cloudy and a bit rainy and then got covered the city.... it was beautiful to watch the fog taking over but frustrating to not see a thing anymore.... Gorgeous view and totally reasonable price! #recommended

My husband and I chose to do this rather than the space needle after reading tons of reviews online of both places. I am so glad we chose this one. It is quiet, relaxing, and has beautiful views. There are plenty of seats and there is even a refreshment stand. You can see the entire city from that height and... More

The Sky View Observatory is a cheaper alternative to the Space Needle. Plus you get to see the skyline INCLUDING the Space Needle ;) The view from up there on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center is great.

Fantastic views of Seattle. Much higher than the needle (in fact it provides an opportunity for great pictures of the needle, which looks relatively small in perspective). We went around 5pm, when it was already dark, but it was worth the city views all around. No waiting whatsoever. Recommended.

Pros: - Fantastic views all around - Less crowds than the Space Needle, hence convenient to access Cons: - Expensive, since the view is all that's on offer and you could be done in < 30 min

Sky View Observation at the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle is a great place for amazing *360 view of the Seattle and the Puget Sound area. There is a small cafe on the same floor with a very limited menu. You'll find more at the Starbucks on the 40th floor and even more at the multi-level food court on floors... More

Headed to Sky View Observatory in Seattle yesterday...a great venue with an astonishingly good view over Seattle. Even though it was an overcast day, the views were fantastic! Most definitely worth a visit if you're in Seattle.

On a clear day it is worth visiting, we spent a couple of hours enjoying the view with a coffee from the shop.
