We went here to see the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japan Cultural Festival. It was fun and we definitely enjoyed the love performance. Although I was expecting the area to be decorated by cherry blossoms or anything Japanese. The performers are really good. Mix of adults and children. All of them playing the taikp drums. The beginning of the program... More

Every few years we hop on the monorail when visiting Seattle. It's $4.50 for a round trip/$3 one way, connecting Seattle Center to downtown/Westlake Shopping Center (roughly). Sit up front with the "driver" and wind your way through the buildings. We visited Seattle Center this time on Easter morning. Still lots going on. We enjoyed wandering around, free of traffic... A wide variety of fast food places but also a fun place to people watch. Activities for kids abound as well as slower paced options such as live performances.

Unless it's on your bucket list - you'll be wasting precious time and $$ to go up the space needle. Better views can be found at the Columbia center or, for free, about a mile away at Kerry park. There are lots of things to do at Seattle Center - ranging from the museum of pop culture (formerly emp), the... More

This is a lovely place to walk and explore the various sites. Many things to see and do there, such as the Chihuly Glass House, EMP, The Armory and many other interesting things to see and do. Areas for children to run by the waterfountains.

If you have a beautiful day, catch the monorail from downtown to Seattle center. Plenty to do and see. Could easily spend a few hours here.

Anytime we can, we walk through the Seattle Center area. There is always something happening there. If the weather is bad, one can duck inside to enjoy inside activities. The views outside are of the glass sculptures, walking the smooth pathways, and seeing the Space Needle from different angles never disappoints. We are often strolling with a baby in a... More

Quick, easy and economical. Great if you are riding solo or in a big group. Make sure to save your ticket if you are riding round trip and also be aware of when the last ride leaves as it varies depending on the day of the week.
