A visit to Green Lake Park during the late fall of winter tends to be a bit more relaxed due to there being less people. It's beautiful no matter when you visit. And there are some places nearby to warm with an espresso.

The community center at Greenlake (opposite Greenlake library) Has a swimming pool and there are lockers there.
