Explore Seattle’s most exciting, vibrant (and non-touristy!) neighborhoods with this hybrid walking tour that includes stops along the route for refreshment and a round of pub quiz style trivia. The Capitol Hill tour strolls down the turn of the century Millionaire's Row, telling tales of Seattle's early elite including Seattle's hosting of Russian Royalty, the Scotsman that introduced golf to the Western United States and the timber, beer, mining, shipping and retail barons that ruled Seattle's early years. It also includes the story of one of Seattle's most infamous citizens, involved in a stock swindle that the New York Times called "one of the most gigantic schemes to defraud investors that has ever been unearthed in this country". The tour shows off the spectacle that is Broadway, Seattle's most urban and eclectic street; and wanders through the urban oasis that is Volunteer Park. We check out a replica of Mount Vernon, George Washington's Virginia estate and share stories of what's been described as Seattle's most haunted building.

Went on the Lake Union trivia crawl. The Seattle area really doesn't matter since it's not a tour, but a short walk between little-known "hot spots" of libation. You don't have to be a trivia genius--and there's lots of topics from academia to pop culture, so you are bound to shine at times. Even coming in last in a blast.... More

But only because I'm not aware of any other tour like this in Seattle or the world. We purchased Groupons for this tour as something new to try. We went with two other couples and had a very fun time on this 4-hour tour. It sounds long, but it wasn't. Time flew by. We met our guide (whos name escapes... More
