A tour is by appointment only and the founder of the museum Jim Riitter (serving Seattle Police Officer) gave us a guided tour and a complete history which was excellent. if you have an interest in this subject it is a definite must do in Seattle. Highly recommended!

This is a great overview of law enforcement in Seattle from the rowdy gold rush days to present. The displays are comprehensive and well organized. The gentleman at the desk was quick to answer questions. If it relates to police work in the Seattle area, its in this museum. The docent said that they were looking for a larger location... More

Located in Pioneer Square, we enjoyed this museum. Exhibits are easy to see. Photos are allowed. The lady working there was informative and friendly. This museum has a little bit of everything, includes the wild west past of the city. Note, that the neighborhood is a little dicey. Probably not for someone who is not interested in police history.

I had read about this museum online and it seemed like a nice place to check out and it would not be too expensive or take up too much time. One review say about 30 minutes or more is ok. I arrived here at 3:30pm and I thought I could check it out but the admission lady there said I'd... More

Filled with interesting facts and displays regarding local history. Nearby the Amtrak King Street Station. They also offer a limited assortment of merchandise to purchase; as a reminder of your visit or a gift for others to let them know where you have been and what you have done.

Great little museum to fill in 30 - 60 minutes if you are in the Pioneer Square neighbourhood. Particularly relevant to members of the "police family", both internationally or national. Contains a collection of police badges from across the USA and Europe. Equipment, uniforms and fire arms across the history of the police. Police uniform shirts for kids to try... More

we had the museum to ourselves when we visited. So many articles which came from individuals and groups. Extraordinary to see how relatively recent the organised police force in Seattle was.

We visited this superb little Musuem while in Seattle on holiday this summer. The entrance fee was so small to be almost irrelevant. The history of the Seattle PD and Sheriffs Dept are laid out in chronological order with artefacts from across the ages. Well worth the time and highly recommended.

It was only $4 per adult & is a self guided tour through Seattle's police history. There had a great collection of patches, call boxes, photos, uniforms, first women on the department, etc. they also had uniforms & hats you could put on, great photo op! Great donation to our first responders & has a couple memorial photos for line... More
