There are much better gold courses in the Seattle area. But if you're looking for something near downtown this is one option. I like the new driving range better than the course itself. Parking is fairly easy most of the time.

The course opened in 1915 and Seattle's own Freddie Couples used to hop the fence as kid to play here. He would be depressed if he saw the course today. I had not played Jefferson for several years and played this past week, and that is the last time I will ever play there. First the clubhouse experience. The City... More

Arrived early to rent clubs and a cart and shared my t-time and last name, having called a few days earlier. Was asked about my t-time and last name again after having already provided that info. When I asked about a cart, was told "No cart, we are having a tournament". No apology. Was offered a pull cart instead and... More

Jefferson is a long open public Seattle golf course. Compared to some of the more "interesting" & challenging" courses around the sound Jefferson is a bit tame. But the location is great. They have a brand new driving range and clubhouse. A big bonus is that the VA just finished their new parking garage which means that it is so... More

Jefferson is one of the oldest golf courses in Seattle... and unfortunately, it shows.. as updates to this course seem to come at a glacier pace. The course is aged, conditions don't improve much and the challenge, not so much, compared to it's sister courses, West Seattle & Jackson Park. This course needs a water hazard or two.. and they... On a sunny February day in Seattle, Jefferson Park is a very busy place, which makes parking almost impossible. So, after parking on the far side of the course, we got to enjoy the golf. The course is very attractive, with lots of trees and mostly straight fairways. The turf is very well maintained. We had a great golf day.... More

Inexpensive, close to the city and a great new clubhouse. We enjoyed our round of golf and it was easy to get in and out. If you need to play a quick round or don't want to pay too much, this is a great place to play. Fairways and greens were fine but you get what you pay for.

New clubhouse, pro shop and driving range, as well as the new restaurant the Beacn Grill. All brand new and top notch. Postcard views of the city. Unbelievably nice amenity in the middle of the city.

Played Jefferson Park on a Sunday morning. The course was crowded but the pace of play was very good. Was informed this was the course Fred Couples grew up on. The course is fun to play. Several holes had very tight fairways. A par-70 course with the longest tees measuring 6278-yards. It was in very nice condition. Looking forward to... More
