I would recommend riding the ferry to any of the many destinations. My wife and I like to frequent Bainbridge Island and enjoy walking around the town without being tethered to a car. The Seattle skyline view from Puget Sound is amazing and on a clear day you will see Mt. Rainier. Word of the wise though...the boat waits for... More

OK, it's a ferry. They carry people and their stuff across the water. They do that very well. However, if you want to see Seattle and the Pacific mountains from the waterside, go topside, brace into the wind, and enjoy.

If you enjoy driving to see the beautiful island, this is an inexpensive way to travel around. Rather than paying regular tours, you go according to their schedule, drive your vehicle on board the ferry and go. Pretty organized and timely. They have been doing this for years. The charge the driver and vehicle the highest and each passenger on... More

Riding a ferry is a must when visiting Seattle. It's such a large part of the culture and the way folks get around it should be experienced when visiting. You get great views of the city when leaving and returning. The ride is smooth and safe. It doesn't even cost very much to do either. Provides time to relax with... More

We love the view going toward Seattle from Bremerton. We enjoyed seeing Mt. Rainier on the way as well. You can see much on a clearer day. Rest rooms, snack bar, and all you need. It's like an inexpensive cruise of the area. Don't miss it.

On advice from a tour guide we took the ferry from Pier 52 to Bainbridge Island. The return trip took a little over an hour and cost the grand sum of $8.20. Yes there is no commentary but the wonderful views and peacefulness negate this and if you have time to spare hop off on the island for a coffee

If walking on the ferry in a Seattle-no problem. If driving your car-watch the signs carefully. I ended up missing the ferry I had wanted to take so I drove from Seattle to Bainbridge Island and then took the ferry back. Easy drive and I was glad I got to see more than just Seattle. Ferries are clean and well... More
