Great Place for Jazz

A fabulous dinner jazz club not to be missed. 18 dollar cover pp is well worth it. We just had drinks and they were reasonable. Music every night.

We have heard so many wonderful reviews about Tulas Jazz, and decided to visit midweek. We were so looking forward to their hot Latin Jazz. We arrived at around 8.10pm, the band was already playing and inside it wasn't very busy, there were maybe 5 or 6 tables full. We picked our seats and ordered some drinks. The music felt... More

The food is fine. Menu selections are kind of boring and very similar to other restaurants in the area. Drinks are pricey, especially when you can pay up to a $20 cover just to get in the door. Then again, it's Seattle. I would eat somewhere else and go for the music and a couple of drinks, maybe dessert.

I found this place by accident, and it is more of a locals joint than a glitzy tourist trap. That is beyond fine by me. We saw trumpet legend Bobby Shew, sampled bourbon from the best whiskey list that I have ever seen- and the cover charge was twenty bucks for two sets. Cannot wait to return.

We were in Seattle for only two nights and visited Tula's both nights. We are jazz fans who like ethnic foods, so ate elsewhere but came for the big bands. We had great seats, and great service, along with wine and beer. With the cover charge it made for a lovely evening at a reasonable price. We chatted with some... More

This venue is not remarkable. The food is decent, the drinks are good and strong. But this would not be a "meal destination." You go to Tula's to see jazz. My husband and I saw a wonderful show there and really enjoyed it. From the looks of their calendar, they get a great variety of local jazz performers. It's really... More

Good food and drinks. Want to go back when there is a smaller group playing. A seventeen piece group was a bit too much for the size of the club, although they were very talented. Fine service too.

This place was recommended by the concierge at our hotel for good jazz and great cocktails. Great cocktails: Check! They are great. Good jazz: Didn't really care for the evening's act but that's not to say it wasn't good, and $15 cover is a deal. Check! Tula's is in a nice OLD building, and unfortunately there is an old gas... It's been a couple years since we've been to Tula, remembering that it's a nice place for Jazz and the food had been decent. I don't know when Tula upgraded, but our impressions of both the venue and the food just went up exponentially. Four of us went there for Javino's quartet---always a treat---in the intimate, yet upscale atmosphere where... More

This place is the real deal. A great Jazz spot with excellent food and wait staff. They have it all together and the place feels like a jazz establishment should. Don't miss the Jim Cutler Big Band experience here. They are a Sunday night fixture and I'm glad they are.
