Our son-in-law suggested checking this factory/showroom out...maybe the second best idea he has had (with marrying our daughter being his best idea!). Fabulous products and though not inexpensive, the quality of material and workmanship make their products most economical and a great value. We bought hats and within 24 hours I have had a couple of total strangers comment on... More

The Filson flagship store has moved to 1st Avenue -- but now they do Factory Tours Tuesday at 11am and Thursdays at 1:30. The new store is STUNNING (as are the prices). One of the unique features for the main location is that they offer one-of-a-kind "distressed" items -- made from returns, scraps, patches -- each one crafted onsite. Tour... More

My husband loves their catalog and had this on his list of stops we had to make while in Seattle. Their luggage is made on the premises and you can see the people working through the large glass windows. Clothing is made at other locations. Their merchandise is expensive but very nice.

Okay, truly I doubt they would stop a knife, but if it weren't too sharp it would slow it down. Filson presents really well made (locally made) woolen products, all of which are the kind of thing that will likely outlast you. I have recently passed on a Filson coat that was my father's to my son, after I wore... More

This is an amazing place to see links to the outfitting past. They make darn tough stuff that lasts. Come and see what real quality looks like and the fact that people want it. They have an onsite factory that is fun to watch as they make things.

Filson opened a new store on 1st four months ago that should be a model for store designers. The iconic brand finally has a home equal to to its heritage...all new plus traditional products, quite a few local artisan products plus the other corporate brands - Shinola, etc. Go see it for yourself---bring your Christmas list.

Filson is one of the premier outdoor store in the country. They recently opened a new headquarters store in 1st Ave, It is sort of like shopping in a museum. The product quality is second to none and the shop is decorated with museum quality items. A must for any shopper, especially outdoor enthusiasts. You should really check it out.

This is the place to go if you are a serious outdoor enthusiast. Something for everyone- the hiker, the camper, the hunter, etc. All really high end well made items. The place just screams "quality".

On my most recent visit I took a friend who was visiting Seattle on business who's carry on bag had fallen apart. He was amazed at the quality and selection that Filson has. They sell only very well made things, including clothes.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Filson "mothership." This is the production location with a large and comfortable shop attached. The staff are attentive and helpful. The shop is well stocked. I had a great time and bought some really cool stuff.

Thank Estie H
