Don't go expecting huge rose gardens, most of the roses used are grown elsewhere, nor should you expect in your face theme park style staff, this is far more laid back. This place is suitable for the whole family, the main interest is in how they press the roses for their lovely rose products. There are also some caves and... More

An odd place with a rather bored young lady taking the ticket money in between sitting outside reading a book. There were not many visitors. Roses were past their first blush and many had been pruned back. No discernible fragrance. In one corner an unattended troglodyte building, in another an unattended distillery and along another side an abandoned farm house... More

The rose gardens are quite small. The roses are left to die on the stem before they can be used, so don't expect perfect blooms. The distillery was basically just one small room. There was also a small farmyard and a museum in a troglodyte cave house, and lots of old farm artefacts on display. It was a pleasant place... More

A lovely warm afternoon with the promise of the glorious scent of roses in the air. The first disappointment met you when you went through into the garden and the rose bower that obviously had been wonderful was full of dead flowers. There are plenty of roses but displayed in such a poor way that you are left completely underwhelmed.... More

We have been here during the summer when the roses are in bloom and the gardens are lovely to walk around and as they say "to smell the roses" and see the 80 plus different varieties. There is also a small farmyard with rooms laid out as they would have looked in thr past and there is also a small... More

A lovely little site to while away an hour or so. Not good if the weather is bad. 80 varieties of Roses are used to make various rose petal extracts. Wander around the site looking at the roses and the exhibits. It seems to be a miniature farm, with goats, geese, pigs, donkeys etc. and lots of old farm equipment.... More
