It was a great opportunity to get up close to Portage glacier. Since we were there in May we also got to experience ice breaking with the ship. Even though it was cold we had an excellent time. The crew shared a lot of information with us and we enjoyed ourselves.

Nice lake, beautiful glacier view, boat comes very close to a glacier. Glacier is better seen when it is cloudy - has very nice blue color.

The drive on the Seward Highway and then Portage Glacier Road to the lake is stunning. The scenery in this part of the Kenai peninsula is absolutely fantastic. Even if you don't want to take the cruise, you should drive to the lake, stopping on the way to take dozen of photos. We drove our rental car and there is... More

Not one to take long tours we signed up for the Portage Glacier Tour and Alaskan Wilderness Conservancy visit. This 4.5 hour adventure picked us up at a nearby hotel and about 26 of us rode in a luxury coach up the Seward Highway. Along the way you get to see the natural beauty just outside of Anchorage with stories... More

This team is professional and will make sure that you are treated well for your money. Sign up with them and you will get to the remote glaciers and get to spend plenty of photo time, the tour is not rushed at all.

I traveled to Potage back in 1987 and the 90's and now 2016. I never had taken this boat trip. Although when I went earlier you could see the Glacier from the visitors center. The boat does bring you up close and personal and is well worth the price you can't see the glacier from the visitor center. So don't... More

Loved this attraction. It is very humbling to be that close to a glacier that is literally history. A beautiful trip and lots of great info by guides. It is a must for travelers to Alaska to get up and personal with a glacier
