They say if you like laws or sausages, you don't want to be around while either are being made. The Capitol building is a exception. Gorgeous architecture, priceless art, and a ringside seat for Illinois political theater.

First off...we had Dorothy as our guide...she was fantastic. She knows her stuff, she knows her history, she knows so much. She made this tour. The things we saw were awesome. Well worth it!!!

Sat open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. closed 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch.....if you have the chance to go see it, it worth it....

I'm a stranger here myself, but other than these other informative answers, why not just call the Capitol and ask about making specific arrangements?
