It's been remodeled or should I say re-vamped. I went on a tour that showed artifact as related to Illinois history. It was included with admission. So interesting and attendees were encouraged to participate. I'd highly recommend this tour and plan on signing up for...More

Dinosour exibit was closed. Many Fossils to see and read, there were some small clips of people who lived in the area and saw the changes and damage to environment. Very few exibits of people of the past. It is very small

This museum is small and a good portion of the 2nd floor was under construction. I was very disappointed. Nothing about plants, flowers, trees native to IL. No government information (like pictures/stories about IL governors.) Nothing about Chicago (the biggest city in the state). Nothing...More

To start it's almost impossible to find parking. We had to park on the street and pay for parking which wasn't bad. Spent a total of an hour and a half in the museum rather disappointing. There was a section in the basement for kids...More

The Museum has new hours. 9:00-4:30 Monday through Saturday and Noon to 4:30 on Sunday. The children's Play Museum exhibit is open Tuesday-Saturday 10-4 and 12-4:30 on Sunday.
