The Edwards House is a beautiful home, built in 1833, and historically is tied to Abraham Lincoln - the tour will tell you how. We enjoyed an excellent tour from a very well versed historian, Erica. On Wednesdays at 2 pm through August Abe Lincoln...More

You'll hear about the "connection" they have to Lincoln. It is quite a stretch, but that doesn't matter because the house is worth going to see. The bottom floor has been re-done to match what it looked like in Lincoln's days. It's fun to learn...More

This is a must see attraction. This home has been beautifully restored in most areas of the home. They have most of the original furniture, including a chair that Lincoln and Mary sat in when they were dating. You can take as many photos as...More

We recently visited Edwards Place and found it very interesting. It has been restored with care and the tour guide was very enthusiastic and keen to share her knowledge of the house. We were shown round at the same time as a school group who...More

Our RV club toured Edwards Place while in the area. The tour guide did an excellent job showing us the home and explaining the life of its occupants back when it was built. Well worth the time and minimal fee.

I've visited Edwards place several times over the years and have always enjoyed the house, the artifacts, the story, and the tours. A couple years ago, the first floor underwent a major restoration and it is so much better--more accurate depiction of a mid-19th-century Springfield...More

The house could have been interesting but the tour guide was horrible. She didn't pause for a minute to ask questions nor did she even talk about many interesting items that were in the house. I would pass on this place and see other locations...More

They have many artists who bring their works for sale every year in Sept. There are also artists who give demonstrations. The home is beautiful too. You can see the sofa where Abe Lincoln courted Mary Todd.

I am not sure of the hours but the tour is roughly 1 hour. Except with our guide she ran over by 30 minutes or so because she couldn't stop talking and not taking questions.
