First we walked outside to the Memorial. It is very windy and even with a lot of people around, it is very quiet there and everyone is respectful and each one is alone with their thoughts. Very solemn and moving. You just stare out into the field and imagine what took place in the past. Then inside, the story told... More

The tale we all know is that of "The White Man". This monument tells the story of what happened at Little Bighorn. The way it is laid out and presented, you could close your eyes and visualize being there. A truly amazing place to visit and learn more about our Native American Brothers and Sisters. Make this a must do... More

It is a very interesting and heart felt look into Indian culture and the awful Indian wars back in the days. They show a very informative video in the visitor center, a must see to learn about the history. The exposition is very interesting, and the souvenir shop sells many interesting books and souvenirs. We also drove the beautiful drive... More

A place where your imagination can soar! With the narratives, you can only imagine what went down, what hills were crested by the Natives and Custer's men, where the attacks were made, retreats found! A good look into the past. The memorials for both sides were quite touching.

What a gem of a historic site this is... the fact that you are on the actual ground of this infamous battle is exciting, the CD explaining what happened adds so much and seeing all of the places where the soldiers fell brings it all to life. If you're passing close, this is very mush worth a couple of hours... More

Like most people of our age group, in the UK, ‘Custer’s Last Stand’ is a definitive place mark for the ‘Old West’, thus the Little Big Horn Battlefield NM is a must see if you’re on a road trip of the region. But, the balanced video presentation, memorials to both 7th Cavalry and Sioux Warriors and the ability to ‘walk... More

This was a great experience, even though the day was drizzly and at some point we were in the rain. So what, it's history and we walked the area. There are great docents to give you information if you're not that familiar with the "event". The cell phone audio tour is terrific! It was a sight to behold, trying to... More

It is a great place to visit if you like Western History, remembering it is also an active Military Cemetery so decorum please. Drive the route to get an idea of the events.

I wasn't really excited about this stop on our trip, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the monument. There is some walking but it's not bad. There are walking trails for the advanced hiker. There are also Handicap parking at mostly every stop.

I have been here several times and each time I find it to be more interesting than the last. If you get a chance pick up Will Hutchison's book Artifacts of the Battle of Little Bighorn. His photos really bring to life the things of the era they used on the field by both sides. This is one of my... More
