Very nice waterfall. Recommend to hike up the hill and go further the path aling the river. go with good hiking shoes and waterresistant clothes.

It was a perfectly sunny day, so the spray at the base of the falls was producing gorgeous rainbows. I love that we could see its majesty from Highway 1. Just lovely!

Amazingly beautiful and you cant skip this place. If you are fit, you can climb the stairs all the way up to take pictures. Many steps and you need to have good stamina. i got lucky as i could see the rainbow by the side...More

The waterfall is excellent and only a short walk from the car park. A must see on a tour around southern Iceland. Highly recommended

Hello Debbie I can only speak to the time I visited. My visit was the first week of December. I can honestly say that December is a wonderful time to see the northern lights though.
