Welcome to Harvard Square Each year, over 8 million men, women and children visit Harvard Square. Visitors come for a variety of reasons; this is a place of history, of books, of ideas, and of learning. It is a place of bookstores and coffee houses, of fine dining and eclectic shopping. It is a place of folk music and old theaters, of Cuban ballet and world-class music, of street-performers and award-winning pizza, of public discourse, and public art. Whatever brings you here, we welcome you and hope you enjoy your stay.

I don’t need to go to Harvard Square again. It is dirty, congested and occupied by rude, self-absorbed people. The highlight of our visit was a trio of wild turkeys strutting about but otherwise just a good place to pass through on the way to...More

Still known as the center of the universe, Harvard Square is one of my favorite places to visit. It isn't the square of old with 4 bookstores and lots of ethnic restaurants, but it still has it's charm. Lots of one of a kind stores....More

Harvard Square is in Cambridge, not in Boston, but it is a stone throw from Boston. You can take the T (this is how the subway is called) and it will leave you there. Take some time to explore the side streets as well.

Tons of little shops and restaurants. Great place to walk around if you are in the area. Walk around all the little streets to get to all the restaurants.

A staple. Visit the Coop to bring souvenirs back. The bookstore is awesome. Lots of good little restaurants around. Easily accessible by the T (Subway)

A square with shops and eateries all around it. The students are easily seen sitting with their laptops and tourist enjoying their day. A small shop at the center of square offering souvenir and other stuff. Its crowded but still its very charming

What a cute area! There were a lot of Harvard related stores, of course, but also many unique shops that made me want to come back and explore them all! Transportation is on point in this area with loads of buses and entrances to the...More

Often I inadvertently bump into friends and outdoor protests when I visit Harvard Square, usually to do something related to Harvard's Cambridge campus.

Nothing to get excited about. Nothing worth making a special effort to see. Just the normal restaurants, fast food joints & generally over prices clothing shops. Got a semi interesting hardware store on the main drag but i wouldn't rush to go there.

Parking there is difficult and paid in the streets infront the square I would recommend to take the red line and enjoy walking around
