Overview

Texas Hills Vineyard is located in the gentle hills of the picturesque Pedernales River Valley in the Texas Hill Country near Johnson City. A perfect location for growing quality grapes, the intense Texas sun by day and the cooler hill country nights gives our grapes an intense and quality flavor, ideal for wines. Texas grown grapes for Texas Wines. We focus on organic growing and new world style process of making wine. Our tasting room is made from rammed pressed earth nestled into the hillside overlooking our gorgeous 19 year old, 25 acre vineyard. Come out, enjoy the wine and the view with our friendly tasting room staff.

We travel through Johnson City regularly and when we can, we stop in for some wine. It is a nice little pit stop. They are very friendly to doggies and people. Enjoy!

This vineyard does it a little different, rather than getting another glass for your tasting, they give you a discount if you buy their wines. And their wines are good and very reasonably priced. They had wines that were dry and some sweet ones too,...More

My husband and I decided to go wine tasting while in the area. Texas Hills Vineyards was our first stop. Nice, pleasant little vineyard. We each sampled 5 wines and the staff was very friendly and informative.

Beautiful setting but they have a LONG way to go on their wines. Really didn’t find anything I’d buy. Wines are a one and setting is 3 so give it a two. Other much better places.

We really like the location and the great healthy vines that are actually used to make wines. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. The tasting room is average. The best wine is the Kick Butt Cab. The drive out here is beautiful--if you take...More

My husband and I came here because it was close to Marble Falls. We loved the wines! The Pinot Grigio and Kick Butt Cab Estate were excellent! Those we can find in Houston (thank gosh!). We bought bottles of the tasty Sangiovese and left very...More

We got a white (mix Chenin Blanc & Pinot Girogo) & red (blend) wine which was ok. The winery has a nice view & patio. Good service. If come back would try another wine.
